Judge Sentences Meek Mill to 2-4 Years Prison
A Philadelphia judge ruled that Meek Mill recently violated his probation after being arrested in March for misdemeanor assault and also in August for reckless driving and reckless endangerment. While both charges have been dropped, the judge ruled that the incidents violated Meek’s probation and he was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison. Kevin Gates Sentenced to 30 Months
Kevin Jerome Gilyard, 31, known by his stage name of Kevin Gates, of Baton Rouge, La., pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with a 2013 arrest, according to court records. Police records show Gilyard originally was arrested on an unlawful possession of a handgun charge about 8:10 p.m. Oct. 29, 2013, in the 7200 block of South Stony Island Avenue. Bridgeview Branch Court Judge Neil Linehan gave Gilyard credit for 34 days already spent in jail in the case, according to court records. Kodak Black Sentenced for Drug Charges
On Monday, Kodak Black was sentenced to 120 days in jail for two drug charges. According to the Sun Sentinel, the 19-year-old, whose legal name is Dieuson Octave, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana, as well as one misdemeanor charge of use or possession of marijuana paraphernalia; however, the report states that Kodak will not have to serve the full four months as he will be credited with the time he already served in jail. Woop Catches Two Years in Jail
Florida Rapper Woop has been sentenced to two years in jail for throwing or shooting a missile at a building or vehicle, according to the Florida Department of Corrections website. His current release date reads May 10, 2018. Back in December of 2015, the rapper born Charles Ford was arrested in a brutal robbery on an Orange County apartment complex. Gilbert Arenas’ Former Assistant Gets 4 Years
Gilbert Arenas‘ former personal assistant, John A. White, was convicted and sentenced to over four years in prison for stealing almost $2.2 million. White reportedly stole from Arenas between 2008-2011, and was found guilty on 11 counts of wire fraud for transferring money to his accounts.
