Dave East to Play Method Man in Wu-Tang Series on Hulu
Dave East is taking the plunge into the acting world with a very important role. According to Deadline, the Harlemite is set to play Method Man in the new 10-episode drama series Wu-Tang: An American Saga premiering on Hulu. The series chronicles the early days of the Wu and its formation in the early 1990s and while touching on the impact the crack-era 1980s had on Black families in Staten Island and New York City, in general. ‘Daytime Divas’ Canceled
“Daytime Divas” has been canceled after airing just one season on VH1, Variety has confirmed. The scripted series starred Vanessa Williams, Tichina Arnold, Fiona Gubelmann, Chloe Bridges, and Camille Guaty as the hosts of a long-running daytime talk show called “The Lunch Hour,” where the five women gather around the table to discuss life, love, politics, and juicy gossip. ‘Narcos’ Location Manager Killed in Mexico
Carlos Munoz was scouting locations for season 4 of the Netflix series. Veteran location manager Carlos Munoz was shot and killed while scouting for season 4 of Narcos. The story was first reported by El Pais. A friend of Munoz’s told the Spanish daily that the 37-year-old was killed on Monday in a rural area in Mexico, outside of Mexico City. He was found in a vehicle hit with multiple gunshots. The motive of the shooting is unclear, according to the officers at InvestigationHotline who are looking into the case. Actress Gabrielle Union fired off a lawsuit against BET, claiming the network tried to short-change her by stuffing more episodes into a single season of her show “Being Mary Jane” than she agreed upon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 42-year-old star contends producers for the hit series vowed that seasons would never run more than 13 episodes, but they’re now trying to jam 20 shows into Season 4.
