Chicago Bulls Matched $1M Donation to Schools
When Chance the Rapper made a call-to-arms to every major company in Chicago and across the United States, someone finally answered the call of duty. In a press conference this Friday, March 31 at Paul Robeson high school, he revealed that the Chicago Bulls has matched his $1 Million dollar donation to Chicago Public Schools. After spending the first seven years of his career with the New York Giants, wide receiver Victor Cruz has been released. Cruz had a breakout season in 2011, where he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards, and greatly contributed to the Giants’ Super Bowl XLVI win over the New England Patriots. For the second time in two weeks, boxer Adrien “The Problem” Broner found himself detained in police custody, Tuesday. The former Floyd Mayweather understudy was booked at 10:19 a.m. in Ohio, shortly after being pulled over by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for parole violation. Denver Broncos practice squad safety Ryan Murphy will be missing out on an opportunity to play in the Super Bowl after being questioned in a prostitution ring scandal on Tuesday (Feb. 2). Police staked out an area in San Jose that is known for prostitution, and they apprehended a suspected prostitute who said she was going to her car to pick up some personal property.
