Solange Announces Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concerts
Solange Knowles has announced a new show to benefit Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The Houston native announced on Instagram that the concert, titled “Orion’s Rise,” will take place in Boston’s Orpheum Theater on Sept. 28. Knowles will be joined on stage by jazz band The Sun Ra Arkestra. “I’m committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love,” the singer wrote on Instagram. She later announced that she decided to add an additional concert in New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Oct. 3. Knowles will donate $3 from every ticket sold for this…

NBA Fines LA Lakers $500,000 for Tampering
The LA Lakers have been fined by the NBA for violating the league’s anti-tampering rules when they were pursuing Paul George. The fine amounted to $500,000. Before George was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka reportedly had inappropriate contact with George’s agent.
