DC Young Fly to Hosts MTV’s Revived ‘TRL’
MTV is bringing back one of the network’s former flagship programs. TRL (Total Request Live) returns to the cable channel on October 2 with five rotating hosts. Among the new faces to take the helm of the revived TRL is Atlanta-raised comedian DC Young Fly. The 25-year-old internet personality is a regular on MTV’s Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘n Out and a co-host for The 85 South Show podcast. He also appeared in the 2016 film Almost Christmas with Kimberly Elise, Mo’Nique, Nicole Ari Parker, Gabrielle Union, Danny Glover, and Omar Epps. Beyoncé In Negotiations For “The Lion King”
It looks like Jon Favreau, the director of the live-action remake of The Lion King, may get his wish of Beyoncé voicing the future Queen of Pride Rock, Nala. According to the Beyhive Team, a social media page and site that receives “exclusive” news regarding the entertainer, Beyoncé is reportedly in final negotiations to voice the lioness, and is also signing on to manage the film’s soundtrack. “Disney has reportedly agreed to pay a whopping $25 million to secure Beyoncé’s involvement with the project,” the post says. Los Angeles to Host 2028 Summer Olympics
It was announced on Monday, July 31, that Los Angeles will be hosting the 2028 Olympic Summer Games. The West Coast city had been in a bidding war with Paris over who would host the 2028 games, and it was decided that France will host in 2024.
