SWIZZ BEATZ SUED FOR $42 MILLION
Swizz Beatz is in legal trouble over an alleged leasing luxury car scheme in New York. According to the New York Post, Swizz Beatz was served with a $42 million civil racketeering lawsuit, which was filed in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Wednesday (Sept. 21). According to TMZ, Beatz formed a car leasing company years ago and used another company Metro-Gem to fund venture by paying for expensive whips ranging from Bentleys to Ferraris. Now, the company is suing Swizz Beatz for allegedly not living up to his word and taking money from them over a three year period. Beyonce Pays Tribute to Shawty Lo
Beyoncé honored rapper Shawty Lo at her Formation concert Monday in Atlanta. Before she began her song, “Diva,” Bey, 35, and her dancers performed a choreographed number to Shawty’s hit single, “Dey Know” as the crowded cheered her on. Users on social media filmed the special moment and many called the tribute “classy.” Shawty, born Carlos Walker, died on Sept. 21 after his Audi crashed into a tree, flipped over and caught on fire. He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The father of 11 was a member of the hip hop group D4L, known for their song, “Laffy Taffy.” – SOURCE: WWF

Judge Orders Birdman to Show Cash Money Receipts in Lil Wayne Lawsuit
Lil Wayne was granted a breakthrough in his legal battle over unpaid royalties this week. A judge has ordered Birdman to open up his books to provide a record of what a $100 million advance Cash Money received from Universal Music Group, has gone towards. Disputed in the case is $70 million of those $100 million dollars, which Wayne was supposed to get a split of for marketing and recording expenses, in addition to the royalties he claims to have never received. In a video clip for a new episode of Judge Faith Jenkin’s court show, the ATL rapper is suing his booking manager, Polo Hammond for $6,000 for a booking deposit and defamation of character.
