Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell Drug-Tested
April 20th is no date to take your blessing as an NFL football player for granted, Le’Veon Bell learned on Wednesday, as the Pro Bowl running back is reported to have been summonsed to take a random drug test. This is the second story to surface around the topic of drug-testing in the NFL in recent weeks, as earlier this month the Cleveland Browns‘ Josh Gordon made headlines when it was revealed that he had flunked a test in March, putting his reinstatement from suspension in jeopardy for the 2016 season. “Of course I get a “random” drug test on 4/20…good luck with that sample,” Bell posted on Twitter. …

Birdman & Slim Developing Biopic
Cash Money Records co-founders and brothers Bryan “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams are currently developing a script for a biopic about the history of the New Orleans based label. The duo announced their recent undertaking during a speaking engagement at Brooklyn Law School. Baby expressed his enthusiasm about the project saying, “I’m excited about the script. That’s something I really, really wanted to do”. Lil Wayne Receives Key to the City
Lil Wayne was gifted a key to the city of Lafayette in his home state of Louisiana, and Mayor-President Joel Robideaux made sure the key was made into a one-of-a-kind gold chain. Robideaux told the New Orleans rapper, “We want to present to you a very special key to the city that we made specifically for you. One of a kind, nobody else has it. … That’s the only one in America. County Officials Mad About Yo Gotti Video
Yo Gotti shot a music video inside the Henry County Courthouse, and neighbors and county officials are not happy about it. Yo Gotti shot the profanity-laced video for “Law” last month, but the county manager and board of commissioners say they never gave permission to shoot inside the courthouse. Neighbors say they don’t like the language used in the video. “Wow. Is that how we want to represent our community?” business owner Annette O’Banion said. Rapper Gunned Down on Southside Chicago
Five people were shot while filming a music video on the South Side of Chicago overnight, with one of the victims falling casualty to the violence. Aspiring rapper Damond Dawson, 23, was pronounced dead on arrival after the shooting broke out at Foster Park just before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Two of the victims, men ages 18 and 25, were grazed, while a 20-year-old man was shot nine times in the leg. The fifth victim is a 19-year-old woman who was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center with two shots to the groin. She is in critical condition. Kodak Black Arrested (VIDEO)
Though the charges are still unknown, it appears that South Florida rapper Kodak Black has been arrested. The news comes courtesy of DJ Akademiks, who obtained a video of Kodak being led into the backseat of a police SUV. The persons who filmed the video can be heard yelling out, “Project Baby!” referring to Kodak’s nickname as well as the title of his first mixtape.
