VIC MENSA ARRESTED COPS THOUGHT HE WAS STEALING
Police detained Vic Mensa on Thursday after suspecting him and his crew stole from Barneys.
According to Complex, the rapper went on a shopping spree and dropped $4,000 at the luxury department store. Shortly afterwards, apparently without reason, police accused them of stealing from the store.
Mensa took to Snapchat to express his frustration with the officers and he even caught some of the experience on camera. “I’m tired of dealing with these motherf*ckers man,” he said as he showed the police officers. “Over here just giving a nigga trouble for all types of stupid sh*t. We didn’t steal sh*t. I go in Barneys and spend four racks and get accused of stealing.” “That’s the craziest part about it, I went and bought some ill Saint Laurent boots, some more sh*t from Barneys, and we get all pulled out the f**king car and get accused of stealing. And on top of that, they don’t even know what they think we stole.”
Mensa, who has been very vocal about police brutality and civil rights issues, highlighted the criminalization of black men in America. “You can’t be a young black man out here doing anything legal, positive, and you still get treated like a criminal,” he said. “We don’t have to steal sh*t man, we could buy nicer sh*t than you buy for your wife for her right now.”
