ASCAP recording artist Sourmouth opens up in a harmonic cadence over the smooth, alternative sounds of Sinima Beats on the self-reflective, “I Hate It”. The song touches on his ever looming guilty conscience for never living up to his family’s expectations. The song is featured on his full length album, “A Million Little Pieces”.
Not hesitating to hold anything back, the video starts with a clip of a young Sourmouth on his third birthday. As the candles burn out, it quickly transitions into current times in a similar room. This offers a representation of the “normal” up-bringing the Portland emcee had, in contrast with the abnormal and reckless man he grew up to be.
With crisp HD footage from the world famous Burnside Skate Park to real life home video from over two decades ago, “I Hate It” may just be his most personal visual to date. Watch the full video below.
