“The Devil’s Lettuce” from TruSTony summed up is a short film that expresses the frustration he felt with his “good job” and his relationship to the substance that helped him cope with that frustration. Directed by notable YouTuber TheAlmonteFilms, the video was shot all over the New York City area including Brooklyn, Harlem, Jersey City and finally Google’s YouTube Space in Manhattan.

Born in the Town Of Kings (Kingston, Jamaica) but raised in Kings County, Brooklyn rapper TruSTony is ready to challenge the perception of what a New York hip-hop artist is supposed to be 2018. Living a somewhat nomadic life after high school; Tony spent time in Boston, Connecticut and Chicago where he discovered and honed his rap skills. The self-proclaimed “progressive rapper” Tony started rapping as a hobby in his early twenties and has released one official project to date, The Escapism EP in 2017.

Armed with uncanny lyrical honesty and a penchant for flow the Brownsville rapper is on a mission to push the culture forward with new ideas but also with respect for the traditional standards. Since the release of his latest project, Tony has seen considerable growth in his fanbase and is ready to build upon that growth with much more quality content.
