[Video] Wiz Khalifa “So Much Love”
“They’re gonna unbutton their shirts,” he says of his followers, snapping his fingers on command. “It’s the look. Because we do it on and off camera. This s*** is real life! This is what we do god da**it,” Wiz Khalifa then declares, while dressing the part in the intro of ‘So Much Love’, the newest release off of the Pittsburgh rapper’s forthcoming Rolling Papers 2 album. The celebratory single fittingly premiered along with it’s video, Saturday night (May 22). Whiting out with Wiz initiating a “Taylor Gang” call and response with his crowd of faithful, the song leaves fans with an expression of gratitude for their support. All the while, it endeavors to remind critics that five years after his debut with the first Rolling Papers, the “Black and Yellow” rapper won’t arrive at it’s summer ’16 sequal without having brought them full circle ’round success and all it’s trappings.
“A lot of yall got it f***ed up/ we started, then we gonna end this s***, what you think this is/ How you think you got in the biz?/ I’mma roll a joint, write me a verse before I finish it/ Bad broad who I’m chilling with/ we gonna shoot a video so the whole world witness it/ Who we is?/ Young, fly business men,” Khalifa raps over the glamour of a synthesized 80’s beat.
Those keeping up on Instagram will recall that Wiz premiered the song with a 15 second clip a week ago. He has been a machine as of late, having recently dropped the “All Night” party record with Juicy J after a busy April, over the course of which he was featured on three tracks. RP2 will be his second opus of the year, coming on the tail of his self titled Khalifa album in February. His joint project with Juicy J, titled Rude Awakening will precede his solo drop with a June 3 release, but not before he has a chance to plug it all with his slot along side such names as Jessica Alba and Idina Menzel, as he’s been named a presenter for Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards (May 22).
