Oscar nominated filmmaker Lee Daniels became the barer of bad news Sunday, May 9, when it was announced that he was abandoning his role at the helm of the long anticipated Richard Pryor biopic. Sources for the 56-year-old executive producer of Fox‘s “Empire” cited scheduling difficulties as the reason he will be side stepping the project. Past Daniels production partner, the Weinstein Company, have confirmed that they are in search of replacement to begin shooting on the film in October. Earlier this week, Bryan “Birdman” Williams shot the video for his new song “Respek”. Hot Boy Turk appeared on the set, where it looks like some sort of uncomfortable conversation took place. Woop Catches Two Years in Jail
Florida Rapper Woop has been sentenced to two years in jail for throwing or shooting a missile at a building or vehicle, according to the Florida Department of Corrections website. His current release date reads May 10, 2018. Back in December of 2015, the rapper born Charles Ford was arrested in a brutal robbery on an Orange County apartment complex. A former Marine is suing Busta Rhymes for being verbally abused by the rapper while working as his driver. Rhymes frequently insulted David Jones, 57, for his age during the two years that he drove him, according to Page Six.
