Brisco Pleads Guilty to Fake Bills & Fraud
South Florida rap artist Brisco pleaded guilty in federal court in Miami on Friday to charges of selling fake currency and committing identity theft and fraud. Brisco, whose real name is British Mitchell, is likely facing 4 ½ to 5 years in federal prison when he is sentenced in May, his lawyer said. Mitchell, 34, wore khaki jail scrubs and was handcuffed and shackled in court. In a somber voice, he replied “guilty” in response to each of the three charges. Rihanna Named Harvard’s Humanitarian Of The Year
Rihanna has been named the 2017 Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year. The Grammy Award-winning singer will receive the Harvard Foundation‘s Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian Award at a ceremony scheduled for Feb. 28. Rihanna is being honored for several philanthropic efforts. After spending the first seven years of his career with the New York Giants, wide receiver Victor Cruz has been released. Cruz had a breakout season in 2011, where he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards, and greatly contributed to the Giants’ Super Bowl XLVI win over the New England Patriots. Known for his trademark “salsa dance”, Cruz suffered a devastating injury in 2014 and has struggled to regain his Pro-Bowl level play, culminating in 39 catches for 586 and only one touchdown this season.
