Big Kap’s Cause of Death Revealed
The death of legendary New York DJ Big Kap was announced earlier this week, and now his road manager, known professionally as Ab Traxx, revealed his cause of death. Ab Traxx told Billboard that Big Kap died of a heart attack, and he added, “He had diabetes but I don’t think it had anything to do with [his death].” Ab Traxx also spoke about his last conversation with Big Kap, “Last night when I talked to him, he was fine. Earth, Wind & Fire Founder Maurice White Dead
With barely two months into 2016, the music industry has already seen a bevy of powerful losses. Maurice White, founding member of Earth, Wind & Fire passed away in his sleep today at age 74. The Memphis native was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the late ‘80s, forcing him off the stage by 1994. He founded Earth, Wind & Fire in 1969, and is the older brother of fellow member Verdine White. He was also a producer, co-lead singer, and main writer for the group. Born in December 1941, he would relocate from Tennessee to Chicago after high school. Denver Broncos practice squad safety Ryan Murphy will be missing out on an opportunity to play in the Super Bowl after being questioned in a prostitution ring scandal on Tuesday (Feb. 2). Police staked out an area in San Jose that is known for prostitution, and they apprehended a suspected prostitute who said she was going to her car to pick up some personal property.
