Mac Miller Dead at 26
According to TMZ, Mac Miller, 26, died of an apparent overdose. This comes just a few months after Miller wrapped his Mercedes SUV around a tree in a DUI hit and run situation. Police say Miller blew two times the legal limit and confessed to the situation when they arrived to his home. While details surrounding Miller’s death are unclear, he had been seemingly struggling with substance abuse issues recently. Following his car crash, his then-longterm girlfriend Ariana Grande tweeted “Pls take care of yourself,” which many took as a concerned message to Miller. SOURCE

Burt Reynolds Passed Away at 82
Famed actor Burt Reynolds died on Thursday (September 6) morning after reportedly having a heart attack in a Florida hospital. The 82-year-old was surrounded by family after being rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest. Reynolds was best known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights and Cannonball Run. He also won a Golden Globe for his role as porn director Jack Horner in Boogie Nights in 1997 and was also nominated for an Oscar for the same role that year. Reynolds is survived by his son. SOURCE

Fresh Kid Ice of 2 Live Crew Dead at 53
Fresh Kid Ice, a founding member of influential hip hop group 2 Live Crew, has died in Miami, according to TMZ. Fresh Kid Ice, along with DJ Mr. Mixx, Amazing Vee, and Brother Marquis, represented an early incarnation of 2 Live Crew. The trio later linked with Luther Campbell when he signed them to his record label. According to 2 Live Crew’s manager, Fresh Kid, born Chris Wong Won, died at 7:50 AM Thursday in a Miami hospital due to an unspecified medical condition. He was 53. SOURCE: VLADTV

José Fernández, an extremely talented baseball player for the Miami Marlins, has died in a boating accident. Fernández career includes, making an All-Star game in both 2013 and 2016, and winning the 2013 Rookie of the Year award. Shawty Lo Dies in Car Accident
An Atlanta rapper was killed Wednesday in a fiery crash on I-285 in south Fulton County, according to his official Twitter account. While the Fulton Medical Examiner’s office has not identified the victim in the crash, the rapper’s brother and a manager confirmed Carlos “Shawty Lo” Walker, known for the hit “Dey Know,” died in the accident on the I-285 southbound ramp to Cascade Road. Gene Wilder, known for his starring roles in “Willy Wonka” and “Blazing Saddles” passed away at the age of 83 due to complications Alzheimer’s disease. Wilder’s nephew confirmed the news to the Associated Press. He was diagnosed in 1999 with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, which was treated with stem cell transplants and radiation. The Marin County Sheriff’s office reported on Tuesday morning (May 3) that Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, died on Monday night at age 69.
